The Cellar Arts Club is, once again, one of the host venues for the annual Worthing Theatre Trail. Feel free to turn up and catch the following free events today: 4.00 PM: West Sussex Writers – Poetry, prose and spoken word on the theme of CHANGE. Suitable age 14 +. Some topics include gender dysphoria, puberty love, growing old. 5.30 PM: Buttercups Our Gold, a one-act play by writer/director Shari Auldyth. Set around 2005, a woman is found inexplicably unconscious in the street. How she got there is gradually revealed as she explores her memories, guided by the knowledge and understanding of her counsellor. The subject matter is thought-provoking (potentially uncomfortable) with some humour from the minor characters (advisory: includes implicit references to sexual assault and suicide). Original music/art by Xavier Churchman-Conway.
