Committee Members
Our committee is made up of people from the Worthing community who bring a wealth and diversity of experience, knowledge and ideas to the Club. They all have specific roles within the committee as well as coming together every week to discuss Club matters and make decisions about the running of the Club. The Cellar Arts Club is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, so all money made from events goes straight back into running costs of, and improvements to, the Club to benefit the community.
This is a purely voluntary role and all of them do it for the love of the Club and are dedicated to making it a place for the whole community to enjoy. They also do regular volunteer shifts at the bar.
The Club’s current directors are:
Julie Goldfinch – co-chair, arts, community outreach & fundraising
Maria Knox – co-chair, volunteer coordinator/recruitment
George Patterson – bar manager/volunteer rota & interim events coordinator
Suzi Cuthell – treasurer & volunteers
Sara Jones – corporate partnerships & fundraising
The other committee members are:
Laurie Owen – Cellar archivist
Lee Saunders – building & facilities
Tony Solazzo – membership, promo & merch
Shona Macdonald – arts and volunteers
Robert Burdick – social media, website & design
Helena Juric – merch, community and volunteer
Andy Elliot – merch, community and volunteer
Volunteers
As mentioned above, many of our committee members also volunteer behind the bar. Alongside them we have wonderful volunteers from the community who do an amazing job at keeping the club functioning. They are dedicated and, as with the committee, do it for the love of the Club and for being part of the community. We genuinely couldn’t run the place without them. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer you can email volunteer@cellarartsclub.com.
