Skull Puppets are a garage band, that much is indisputable. They get together in a garage down the garden, hidden amidst the satellite shires, to make a cathartic noise and kick at the blues. Songs of darkness, fuzzy noise and voodoo charm! Thud, howl, clang and breathe… Raise a glass to those that’s passed and climb aboard, we are Skull Puppets.

MATT FINUCANE
Matt Finucane is known for his distinctive style that blends elements of post-punk, grunge, and art-rock. He has released several albums and EPs showcasing his unique and experimental approach. While not widely known on the mainstream music scene, Finucane has built a dedicated following within the alternative music community for his thought-provoking lyrics and edgy sound.

TABLE FOOTBALL
Fusing pop inflicted melodies with shoegaze and post-punk, Sussex-based Table Football craft wonderfully ramshackle pop songs. Underneath layers of scratchy guitars, catchy melodies rear their heads, making songs that echo with simplicity and immediacy. Already known for their energetic and lively shows, the five piece have gigged prolifically in the local area, including two nights supporting The Blockheads.

‘Anything Artsy’ is an evening where you can bring your own medium/media and get artsy! There will also be some materials provided by us and is a great opportunity to share your skills with others as well as learn some too! The entry fee is pay what you can and any donations are greatly received!

If you could speak about one subject that you are passionate about what would it be?
Every month, three guest speakers talk on a topic close to their heart. It could be on the arts, science or nature; about an abstract concept or a physical object of desire; a moment in history or perhaps a tiny fragment of their life.
Past Speakeasy’s have included talks by naturalists, in the buff (naturally!) talking about their passion for walking naked in the countryside, a man talking about his passion for cornershop newsagents and the delights they hold therein, a talk on why we should embrace failure, on what it was like living on a canal boat for 10 years, about Lego, biscuits, disused tube stations of London, lawnmowers (by a man with UKs largest collection of them!), and about teaching a town to play the ukulele.
You never know what you will get as we don’t announce the subjects ahead of the night, but we promise you will go away with food for thought!
This month we will have 3 talks that promise to entertain, enlighten and educate – sometimes all three.
Doors are at 7.30pm, with first talk at 8.15pm

Shaun Banks is a Slovenian one-man band artist, whose music is fueled by punk rock energy and is fused in a garage with the soul and groove of blues. He takes the audience on a journey through his energetic craftsmanship, heavily influenced by The White Stripes, The Black Keys, and Robert Johnson. Playing guitar and foot drums simultaneously, accompanied by his powerful and colorful voice with bluesy harmonica fills, makes for a great live show. Since 2018, he’s been performing at various Slovenian venues and festivals, with 2025 being his breakthrough on the international scene. With 2 tours across 13 countries, including Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, he is quickly gaining a loyal international following.
